Pasuma- Robbed!

Reports surfacing online claim that Fuji star Pasuma was attacked around 9 pm on Monday night by armed robbers along the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway while going for an event in Ogun State.

The robbers allegedly took his money, mobile phones, robbed the friend in the car with him and then forced their way into his Range Rover with number plate Lagos – MUS 830AP.

They drove them around for over 3 hours and then dumped them in a bush at Itele in Ogun state.

The case has since been reported to the police who say efforts are on to recover the vehicle and catch the robbers.

We hope the police catches them and Robbers, please leave our singers alone...they make us feel good!

Omotola is back home!

Some of us may have been following Omotola Ekehinde's P.R trip and stay in the U.S where she attended several events and met with a lot of A-listers in the movie business....Well, Over the weekend she finally arrived home via the Murtala Mohammed Airport Lagos.

She was welcomed by her husband Captain Matthew Ekeinde, the press and fans who had gotten wind of her arrival.

Omotola told the press that she was really excited about being listed on Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World for 2013. She confirmed she was initially skeptical about the listing but after going there, was very happy to find out it was the genuine article! 

Big Brother Africa "The Chase" - Nigeria's Reps

The 8th Season of Big Brother Africa kicked off today, May 26th 2013 with music performances from South African Pop duo Mafikizolo and The Mavins Crew (D'Prince, Don Jazzy and Wande coal).

Nigerian female rep is Ada Beverly Osu, A model from Delta State and popular Lagos based video vixen. She was also briefly engaged to rapper 2shotz in 2011.

Nigerian male rep is Melvin Oduah, A model, actor, 1st runner up Gulder Ultimate Search VI, NMA award winner and 1st runner up Mr Nigeria 2011. 

The games have begun, we hope we are not disappointed....Good Luck guys!

Star Music Trek has announced Nigerian pop stars, Tuface Idibia, D’banj, and Psquare at its unveiling ceremony held in Lagos on Wednesday May 22, 2013.

The COSON Week!

COSON, which is the sole collective management association (CMO) approved by the Nigerian copyright commission to act on behalf of  authors. composers, performers, publishers of musical works and sound recordings, is holding is having its week long program which began on Sunday, 19th May 2013 in an event tagged 'COSON in the church' that held in the household of GOD church.

It was well attended by a lot of the industry's notables and was said to be and refreshing experience. On Monday the 20th, was the 'COSON lecture' given by the renowned professor Helge Ronning (with credentials a mile long) of the department of media and communication at the university of Oslo and also the chairman of the Norwegian Copyright Development Association. other distinguished and knowledgeable speakers from the justice department, NCC, NORCODE, Norwegian embassy, Pan-African university and media were also present and created an interactive session with the stakeholders in the house.

Yesterday, Tuesday the 21st was the 'COSON in the street' where music artistes came out in their numbers to control traffic, clean up, feed and generally create awareness of the good we can all do.

Wednesday the 22nd , 'the COSON green ball' which is a fund raising dinner and also the official launch of the COSON music foundation. It  is slated to hold at the Muson center. Thursday the 23rd, will feature the finals of the  COSON all stars table tennis blow out at the Teslim Balogun studio. Friday the 24th is 'COSON at the Mosque' while the capping event is on Saturday the 25th tagged 'The COSON song awards' which promises to be a star studded event while recognizing music personas that have been outstanding.

As the team says, the week promises to be a WOW! experience...

Davido's generous side pops up again

David Adeleke known better as the artiste, Davido a.k.a "omo baba Owo"  always has something to give out which in most past cases has been cash . He now  appears to have taken his generousity to a higher  level as we hear he  recently announce that he  plans to build a school in Osun State and then move to other states.

This is encouraging! Lets hope more celebs learn to be generous in such needful causes.

The 12th edition of  BET Awards is about to hold this 2013. The award show is slated to take place at the Nokia Theater in Los-Angeles on the 30th of June.
