Katrinna's Christmas Album - Christmas of Joy!

Look who's celebrating Christmas with Us...

With the Season bringing good cheer, my girl Katrinna is set to share Christmas with everyone with a freshly released Christmas song album, titled "Christmas of Joy!".
Like other popular singers that have gone in the same vein we see in her album a combination of our favorite, familiar and classical Christmas songs and carols arranged for listening pleasure. This album is particularly unique in that it is a first of its kind compilation by a Nigerian artiste (one up for Ladies!)
.
The album comprises of 10 songs with a bonus classical called ‘Ifunanya” composed by, hear this…Katrinna herself! We also the popular Silent Night's first verse sung in Igbo Language and O Holy Night's first in Yoruba language; the album still goes further to be interspersed with  Handel classicals, melodies like “Joy to the world” & a pop medley version of “Angels from the Realms, While Shepherds watched & Long time ago in Bethlehem”

Vocals in this compilation is very impressive and the lady has shown us she can sing like the Nightingale  even if we have seen a hint of this in her other singles 'Trouble' and 'Kende'. She says singing in the Church Choir has really helped improve her range and power and that recording the album was both hard work and a joy!

The Full track listing:
1)      Intro
2)      For unto us a child is born
3)      Silent Night ft Chika 100%
4)      Joyful medley 1
5)      O’er the solemn hush of midnight ft Kriskliar

Compliments of the Season! Happy Holidays!

Idris Abdulkarim and NoMoreLoss fight on twitter!

And it was not funny, at least to both parties.
Singer Nomoreloss was addressing the BON/IBAN vs. COSON drama going on via Twitter,  he was appealing to both parties involved to resolve their issues because he was tired of artistes dying without financial aid when they are supposed to have royalties.
However, rapper Eedris Abdulkareem came into the picture when he was mentioned in one of Nomoreloss’  tweets, and the rapper did not find it funny and soon the conversation escalated to cussing each other on Twitter.
Read tweets below:
@Ucg4sure @RuggedyBaba @idris_Abdulkarm Just in case you missed the memo...TRUTH IS TRUE TALENTS STAND THE TEST OF TIME.

@mr_nomoreloss let me say it clearly that I will not trade words with kids cos they all sleeping in the plane when I fought a revolution.

@idris_Abdulkarm Let me state clearly that you fought a battle without legal understanding. When you sign to do a task, finish it.

@mr_nomoreloss I will not trade word with u cos u ve never made any history before. Dis is my last message to u....

@idris_Abdulkarm If being blunt and truthful with you upsets you, i guess this should indeed be your last message to me.

They now stopped directing the messages to themselves but we knew who the recipient was; See below:

The only association in nigeria that is so backward is the music scene cos we have 90 percent fake fools who scared to speak the truth ....

DO NOT fight a battle without legal understanding. When you sign to do a task, finish it. ITS CALLED INTEGRITY

I remember in the plane when u all waiting to see 50cent beat me up I fought and refuse domination I close down the airport

An independent observer chose to comment:

@mr_nomoreloss @idris_Abdulkarm I think every artiste in Nigeria today should respect Eedris! He's a legend!

@FeedBack_Musik @idris_Abdulkarm Respect is earned not bought. When we conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of respect we earn it.

Am the reason why u all getting paid fool shut up when men are talking and go back to school and read ur history I rep ROZA PACKS

Seun Kuti Chides Burna Boy....

Seun Kuti has been interviewed on Rubbin minds and has spoken on the controversial stripping of Burna Boy that took place during  The Felabration at the New Afrika Shrine last month....He said Burna Boy should have known better than stripping to his underwear and alludes to a familial relationship when he said in his words "Your father was my father's first manager"

Hmmm...Well, a lot of people are saying Burna Boy did the whole stripping act to honor the late Fela and that Seun shouldn't be one to talk because, he was not even close to his Dad, what do you think?

The picture below may help you form an opinion.....lol.

Dark Side's 'Review'

Dark side’ is a suspense thriller starring Bayo Alawiye, Nobert Young, Joseph Benjamin and Uru Eke. It begins with a supernatural twist as a young man (Bayo Alawiye) driving in his automoblie accidentally knocks down a blind man attempting to cross the road. After helping the stranger to his feet, the young man attempts to make a beeline but the blind man (Nobert Young) is in a chatty mood and wants to talk, maybe even give our hero a peep into his future.
But our man has to dash and we move along with him to his ridiculously large mansion that hints of fabulous excesses. We learn that he is heir to a multi-million Naira company although apart from the baroque mansion and  hot to trot skanky wife, you’d never guess. Not from the dull work place surroundings and dour workers, and not from the scrappy appearance of the lead (Alawiye). While he makes a serviceable leading man, he does not possess the palpable screen presence to portray convincingly a scion of a stupendously wealthy family.
But that is not all we learn from the opening scenes. We also discern that his wife (Sylvia Udeogu) is having a torrid affair with his handsome best friend played by Joseph Benjamin. It becomes clearly apparent in their first scene together, an amusing attempt at a sizzling sex scene that has Ms Udeogu working extra hard and inspite of the production’s limitations to vamp things up as the cheating wife.
Her performance will not win any awards for quality but she is the hardest working performer here, doing her best to sizzle in her numerous scenes with Mr Benjamin. Where he is restrained and unwilling to push farther, she pushes both of them towards over the top theatricality. It doesn’t always work, and sometimes she comes across as Tonto Dikeh with only slightly improved acting talent.
A bizzare work accident leaves our hero mysteriously blind and his wife and her lover double up their shagging sessions, grabbing each other’s bodies whenever they meet and in full presence of the blind husband, confident in his vision impaired affliction. He signs on for a high risk surgery without his wife’s knowledge (don’t ask which, the film doesn’t specify) and watches perversely as wifey carries on with her lover and expresses her loathing for him every chance she gets.
Some other plot twists come up to keep audiences mildly engaged. Nobert Young’s character reappears, Uru Eke struts by with a vengeance and the director’s motto seems to be this; when all fails, revert to Sylvia Udeogu and Joseph Benjamin making out. It works for some time but there are only so many similar scenes one can take in. The film builds up to a suspense filled climax leading to a twisty end but the entire experience leaves an after taste that isnt quite sweet. The script may have been brought to life faithfully but it seems that production ability and experience would have added layers to the film, enabling a more seamless finished product

Waconzy speaks 'plainly' about fellow artistes Tonto, Davido, Olamide...and gets fired back for his trouble!

Waconzy, Afro-pop artiste,  was interviewed on Y Najia's RubbinMinds and he used the opportunity to kind of speak too plainly about some of his fellow artistes...

The outspoken artiste held nothing back in criticizing several Nigerian artistes who he feels are not pulling their weight. In his general assessment, He criticised Tonto Dikeh, Davido, Olamide and Timaya and praised 2face, Waje, Bez and Banky W. Davido is the first artist to respond to Waconzy as below shows: (is it just me or is waconzy looking younger than davido?)

See more of Waconzy's diss after the cut...
